Early Start 09 ?

Allen wanted to get started, last year at the time this picture was taken we had been in the field 3 weeks!

Palouse Erosion Primer, pictures from 2009 Winter

This is how erosion starts in the Palouse, a lot of snow on the hills!
A warm rain starts and the snow melts.
The melted water saturates the soil and starts moving off the hills.

Eventually the soil (and fertilizer, and pesticides) leaves the field and head into the streams of the Palouse
